About Me – Kelly Wymer

Kelly Wymer – Admin Kiddos and Pups, mom, and wife

Hello!  I am Kelly Wymer, and this is my blog.  I decided to do this blog on a whim, like I do so many things in my life.  It drives my poor hubby crazy, but I think it makes life fun!  I grew up with a wonderful mom and terrific dad, and I have a younger sister and brother I love very much.  My brother married an awesome girl, and they have a little girl and a son, both the same age as my kids.  It is a blast when we get the two families together!  My sister married an incredible man who is quite a bit older than she is.  When it comes to family, I am the luckiest girl around.  Even my grandparents, aunts, and uncles are amazing!  I can honestly say that every member of my family has influenced me positively.  I actually like my entire family!  :)

Growing up, I moved around a bit.  I was born outside of Chicago, moved to and from St. Louis and Kansas City twice each, and then, when I was 10 years old, I moved to New Jersey.  I graduated high school there and then went to college at SUNY Cortland in upstate New York where I studied to become a science teacher.  As soon as I graduated, I moved back to the midwest and started teaching.  I was a science teacher for 15 years at a public school, private school, and online school.  I was still teaching outside the home when I had my first two boys, so I had to do the daycare thing.  While my daycare provider was awesome, I ached to be home with the kiddos.  When I finally had my third son, we decided it would work if I taught from home instead of in a brick and mortar school, so I did.  As times changed, so did online education, and it got harder and harder to keep up.  I eventually had to leave online education, and education altogether.  While I loved teaching, my kids and my family was always more important, and as the family grew, my time for teaching shrunk.  I now stay home with my husband, four kids, and two wolf dogs here in Kansas.  I have decided to blog because I always have so much to say about the kids, dogs, and our lives.  I also love to write.  I would like to someday bring in some income from my site to justify the time and energy spent on it, so you may see some ads or links or even a blogroll that includes these money-making opportunities.  Hey, why not, right?  Who couldn’t use a few extra bucks when raising four kids?

I hope you enjoy our experiences and adventures as much as we do!  Feel free to comment as often as you wish.  I look forward to getting to know you as well!

Look forward to some posts on nutrition. :) I am sadly amazed every day to see what people feed their bodies and especially their children.

  2. Thank you! I love being a mom. Nothing compares to it. The joys way out number the trials and tribulations in my opinion. I have not thought too much about nutrition in regards to my blog. I might need to think about doing so. Thanks for the tip! What kinds of things are you looking for? I hope to see you around more. :)

  3. Kelly,
I LOVE your blog! It’s so real and down to earth. When reading ‘stranded’, I couldn’t wait to get to the next paragraph. I knew a lot at happened because it was long. And what an ‘epic’ day you had. Can’t say that I envy you that adventure, though lol! They should make a sitcom about you and yours! And many congrates on being a featured blogger! You definitely deserve it! Have a blessed day!

  4. Thank you!! I have to say, it was your comment that brought my attention to Bloggers front page. What an honor! :) I am so glad you enjoy our stories. Stranded was about one of those days you you can’t believe actually happened to you. Have a great day!

  5. ..actuallyyyy, do you have a follow button? I’m not seeing it? haha

    • I do now! I have tried several widgets and plug-ins, but nothing worked really well, so this time I just went with simple and it works just fine. :) The Follow button is now on the bottom right of your screen. Thanks and I look forward to connecting with you more!

  6. Hey Kelly, found your site after our discussion on ‘poop’ on FB :) You were so right, this word definitely gets you hits.

Jokes apart, I must say you have done a wonderful job with your blog and you seem to be a wonderful person too. Your kids the pup are adorable. If you haven’t started monetizing your blog, I suggest that you start soon. Wish you all the best Kelly, have a wonderful day!

    • Glad you found me! It is amazing what people find to be interesting, isn’t it? :) I really appreciate your comments. I am trying to monetize it, but I am not having a whole lot of luck. I feel this may change really soon, though. Everything seems to be falling into place. I really enjoy doing this blog. I just hope others get as much out of it as I do. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great afternoon!
